Description: Robitussin Honey Cough and Cold Nighttime was formulated to help temporarily control dry coughs, relieve sneezing, and treat runny nose. This formula also helps to soothe throats. This liquid features a taste of honey and provides up to 6 hours of relief.
Directions:
- Adults and Children 12+: Using a measuring cup, take 20 mL every 6 hours. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
- Children Under 12 Year: Do not use.
Active Ingredient (per 5 mL):
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (DM) 15 mg
- Guaifenesin 100 mg
Non-medicinal Ingredients:
- Carboxymethylcellulose sodium
- Citric acid
- Flavour
- Glycerin
- Honey
- Polyethyle glycol
- Sodium benzoate
- Sodium citrate
- Sodium gluconate
- Sucralose
- Water
- Xanthan gum
- Zinc gluconate
Warnings:
- Do not use with other cough and cold medication; with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), or other drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotion conditions, or Parkinson's disease, or for 2 weeks after stopping the drug.
- Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have/are: a persistent/chronic cough (as occurs with smoking); a cough with excessive phlegm/mucus; shortness of breath or chronic lung disease (e.g. asthma or emphysema); glaucoma; difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate; are taking sedatives or tranqjilizers; are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms worsen or last for more than 7 days; you develop a fever, rash, or a headache that won't go away.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor right away.
