Alcon Vitalux-S Multivitamin and Multimineral AREDS Formula (50 caplets)

Description: Alcon Vitalux-S Multivitamin and Multimineral AREDS Formula is an ocular multivitamin that is scientifically formulated to help maintain healthy eyes. It is designed to help delay the progression of Age-related Macular Degeneration and helps maintain healthy vision. This formula does not contain beta-carotene. It is recommended for smokers or recent ex-smokers who have been diagnosed with AMD. Caplets contain no salt, gluten, lactose, artificial colours or flavours.

Indications:

• Lutein and zeaxanthin help to increase serum levels within the body
• Lutein helps increase macular pigment optical densities, which reduces progression of AMD and helps maintain healthy vision
• No beta-carotene.
  
• Recommended for smokers or recent ex-smokers who have been diagnosed with AMD.
  

Directions for Adults: Take 2 caplets per day with meal containing oil/fat OR as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take a few hours before or a few hours after taking other medications. Do not crush caplets.

Medicinal Ingredients (per caplet):

• 250 mg Vitamin C
• 200 IU Vitamin E
• 40 mg Zinc
• 1 mg Copper
• 5 mg Lutein
• 250 mcg Zeaxanthin
  

 Precautions:

• Zinc supplementation can cause copper deficiency.
• Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you experience decreased vision or if you are taking tetracyclines.
• Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have cancer, cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
• May cause gastrointestinal distress
• This product has come into contact with soy, fish, and sulphites. Do not use this product if you are allergic to soy, fish, or sulphites.
