Taro Docusate Sodium 100 mg (100 capsules)

Description: Taro Docusate Sodium 100 mg is a stool softener that is indicated to provide relief from occasional constipation caused by dry, hard stools.

Uses:

• For relief of occasional constipation.
• Stool softener
• Softens the stools
• Stool softening laxative

Dosage:

• Adults and Children Age 12+: Take 1 capsules 1 or 2 times per day or as directed by physician. Take with one full glass of water and drink lots of fluids.
• Children Age 6-12: Take 1 capsule per day or as directed by a physician. Take with one full glass of water and drink lots of fluids.

Inactive Ingredients:

• D&C Yellow No. 10
• FD&C Red No. 40
• Gelatin
• Glycerin
• Polyethylene glycol (PEG 400)
  
• Propylene glycol
• Purified water
• Sorbitol sorbitan solution
  

Warnings:

• Do not use: if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting; with other medicines or if you are presently taking mineral oil; if you are on a low salt diet; longer than 7 days.
  
• Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that has lasted longer than 2 weeks (this may be a sign of a serious condition); are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  
• When using this product: frequent or prolonged use may result in dependence on laxatives; may take up to 3 days for you to have a bowel movement; laxatives should not be taken within 2 hours of another medicine since the desired effect of the latter may be reduced.
  
• Stop use and ask a doctor if rectal bleeding occurs; symptoms persist, last for more than 7 days.
• Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or get medical help right away, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
