Proferrin Heme Iron Polypeptide Iron Supplement 11 mg (90 tablets)

Description: Proferrin Heme Iron Polypeptide Iron Supplement is used to prevent or treat those at risk of iron deficiency (anemia). This supplement contains naturally sourced heme iron and yields 11 mg of iron.

Recommended Dose for Adults: Take 1 tablet up to three times daily with a full glass of water orally, with or without food, or as recommended by your health practitioner.

Warnings:

• Keep away from children. Accidental overdose of iron-containing products can cause fatal poisoning in children younger than 6 years. If accidental overdose occurs, call a doctor or poison control centre immediately.
• This product should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Individuals that are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have hemochromatosis, other types of anemia, repeated blood transfusions, or stomach/intestinal problems should tell their pharmacist or doctor before using this product.
• Contra-indications: Before using heme iron, individuals should tell their pharmacist or doctor if using methyldopa or other iron-containing products. Iron supplements can decrease the absorption such as tetracycline antibiotices, penicillamine, cefdinir, chloramphenicaol, levothyroxine, levodopa, and quinolone antibiotics. This product may interfere with certain laboratory tests, possibly causing false test results.
