Phillips Milk of Magnesia Original (350 mL)

Description: Phillips Milk of Magnesia Original can be used as an antacid or laxative for the relief of upset stomach and for gentle relief from occasional constipation. This milk of magnesia product comes in original flavour.

Dosage:

• For Adult, Antacid Use: 5-15 mL (1 to 3 teaspoonfuls) with a little water up to 4 times a day or as directed by a doctor.
  
• For Adult, Laxative Use: 30-60 mL (2 to 4 tablespoonfuls). Follow with a full glass of water. Produces bowel movement in 0.5 hours to 6 hours.
  
• For Children 6-11 Years, Laxative Use: 15-30 mL (1 to 2 tablespoonfuls). Follow with a full glass of water. Produces bowel movement in 0.5 hours to 6 hours.
  
• For Children 2-5 Years, Laxative Use: 5-15 mL (1 to 3 teaspoonfuls). Follow with a full glass of water. Produces bowel movement in 0.5 hours to 6 hours.
  
• Consult a doctor for use in children under 2 years.

• Magnesium Hydroxide 80 mg
  

Non-medicinal Ingredients:

• Sodium Hypochlorite Solution
• Water

Cautions:

• Consult a doctor before taking this product if you suffer from kidney disease, are on tetracycline, or have noticed a sudden change in bowel habits persisting for over 2 weeks.
  
• Not to be used when abdominal pain, nausea, fever, or vomiting are present.
  
• Do not take within 2 hours of another medicine, because the effectiveness of that medicine may be reduced or altered.
• Overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function.
  
• If symptoms persist for more than 1 week, consult a physician.
• Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use may indicate a serious condition; discontinue use and consult a doctor.
• In case of accidental overdose, contact a Poison Control Centre or your doctor immediately.
• Keep out of reach of children.
