JAMP K20 Potassium Chloride 1500mg Extended Release (100 tablets)

Description: JAMP K20 Potassium Chloride 1500mg Extended Release is a supplemental oral potassium for the treatment or prevention of hypokalemia (potassium depletion), potassium replacement therapy, and/or electrolyte replenisher. This supplement comes in the format of extended release tablets.

Dosage (for adult use only):

• Adjust dosage on an individual basis.
  
• Prevention of hypokalemia: Take 1 tablet 1 to 2 times daily.
• Treatment of hypokalemia: Take 2 tablets 1 to 2 times daily.

Medicinal Ingredients (tablet):

• 1500 mg Potassium Chloride (20 mEq K)
  

Non-medicinal Ingredients:

• Dicalcium phosphate dihydrate
  
• Eudragit (RLPO and RSPO)
• Glycerine
• Hypromellose
• Magnesium stearate
  
• Polyethylene glycol
• Polyvinylpyrrolidine
• Talc
• Titanium dioxide
• Xanthan gum

Warnings:

• To be taken only on the advice of a physician.
  
• Take immediately after meals or with food to lessen possible stomach upset or laxative action. Swallow with water; do not chew, suck, or crush tablet. 
  
• Do not exceed 5 tablets daily.

Caution:

• Consult a physician prior to use if you have impaired renal function as the use of potassium supplements must be monitored closely.
  
• The use of potassium supplements with potassium sparing diuretics (spironolactone, triamterene, amiloride) may lead to hyperkalemia.
• A probable association exists between the use of coated tablets, containing potassium salts, with or without thiazide diuretics, and the incidents of serious bowel ulceration.
• Such preparation should be discontinued if abdominal pain, distension, nausea, vomiting, or gastrointestinal bleeding occur.
• Store at a controlled room temperature of 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.
• Protect from light.
• Keep out of reach of children.
