Description: GluteGuard is a tablet designed to break down the harmful parts of gluten before they cause symptoms. It contains caricain which is a unique enzyme derived naturally from the skin of the unripe papaya fruit. When these enzymes are released in the small intestine, they target gluten peptides to break them down into harmless fragments. These fragments pass through the digestive system, without triggering symptoms.
Uses: Helps to reduce occurrence of symptoms of gluten sensitivity. Helps to support gluten digestion as an adjunct to a gluten-free diet.
Directions / Recommended Adult Dosage (19 Years and Older): Take 1 tablet (whole) orally before each meal where gluten could be present or as recommended by your healthcare professional. Maximum daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets.
Medicinal Ingredients: Carica papaya dry fruit latex 300 mg (9,000,000 FCC papain units)
Sub-ingredient: Caricain 40 mg
Non-medicinal Ingredients: Methacrylic acid copolymer, talc, magrogol, silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, hypromellose, triacetin, calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, magnesium stearate.
Cautions:
- Contains sulphites.
- Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have gastrointestinal lesion/ulcer or are having surgery; taking an anticoagulant/blood thinner or anti-inflammatory medications; or if you have an allergy to latex or fruits (e.g. papaya).
- Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs.
