Description: FeraMAX PD Powder is a water-soluble polydextrose-iron complex that helps prevent iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. This oral supplement comes in grape/raspberry flavour. It also comes with a quarter teaspoon for dosing.

Dosage:

  • For Infants and Children 3 Years or Younger: Take 0.25 to 0.5 teaspoon (15 - 30 mg of elemental iron), 1 time per day. Dose by weight of the child and degree of iron deficiency, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Read package for full instructions and dosing chart.
  • For Children 4 to 13 Years: Take 0.25 to 0.5 teaspoon (15 - 30 mg of elemental iron), 1 time per day. Dose by weight of the child and degree of iron deficiency, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Read package for full instructions and dosing chart.
  • Adolescents and Adults (14 Years or older): Take 0.5 to 0.75 (30 - 45 mg of elemental iron), 1 time per day, or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Duration of use:

  • Dissolve dose in a small amount of water before administration to infants and children (3 years or younger). Dissolve Fermax PD Powder 15 in water or mix in soft foods or powdered cereals. Take with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.
  • Consult your health care practitioner prior to use and for prolonged use.

Medicinal Ingredients (0.25 tsp):

  • 15 mg Elemental Iron

Non-medicinal Ingredients:

  • Grape and raspberry flavouring
  • Maltodextrin
  • Sucralose

Warnings:

  • Keep away from children. There is enough drug in this package to seriously harm a child.
  • At doses greater than 35 mg per day, some people may experience constipation, diarrhea, and/or vomiting.
  • Consult your health care practitioner prior to use, if you are hypersensitive to iron preparations or any ingredient in this product, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have peptic ulcer, regional enteritis, or ulcerative colitis.
  • Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, hematemesis, or diarrhea.
  • Stop use if hypersensitivity occurs.
