Colace Docusate Sodium Stool Softener (20mg/5mL) (250 mL)

Directions: Colace Docusate Sodium Stool Softener provides relief of occasional constipation caused by hard, dry stools. This stool softener comes in syrup form and is gentle, effective, and stimulant-free for comfortable relief.

Directions:

• Colace Syrup generally produces bowel movement in one to three days. The syrup should be mixed with 120 mL of milk or fruit juice.
• Adults and Children Age 12+: Take 20 mL one to two times a day with a half a glass of milk or juice until bowel movements are normal. Do not take more than 120 mL.
• Children Age 6-11: Take 15 mL one to two times per day with a half glass of milk or fruit juice, until bowel movements are normal. Do not take more than 37.5 mL.

Warnings:

• Do not use: if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, or vomiting; with other medicines or if you are presently taking mineral oil; if you are on a low salt diet; for longer than 7 days.
  
• Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that has lasted longer than 2 weeks or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• When using this product, frequent or proplonged use may result in dependence on laxatives; may take up to 3 days for you to have a bowel movement.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if rectal bleeding occurs, symptoms persist, or last for more than 7 days.

• Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help right away, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
