Description: Children's Tylenol Acetaminophen Fever and Pain Chewables can provide effective relief of fever and pain, including that associated with headaches, toothaches, and pains from common cold, flu, and immunization. The portable, child-resistant sachets are effective for children ages 6–11 and come in a wild berry flavour.
Uses:
- Reduces fever
- Temporarily relieves mild to moderate aches and pain due to headache, muscle sprains and strains, toothache, common cold and flu, and immunization.
Dosage for Children Age 6-11 Years:
- Dosage chart is provided in package details. If possible, dose by weight, otherwise use age.
- Weight (lbs.), age (years), and single oral dose (packs) for reference only. Please reference full dosage chart before use.
- 48-59 lbs. (or age 6-8), 2 packs (320 mg)
- 60-71 lbs. (or age 9-10), 2 packs (320 mg)
- 72-95 lbs. (or age 11), 3 packs (480 mg)
- Tear pack and pour powder on your child's tongue.
Active Ingredients (per pack):
- Acetaminophen 160 mg
Non-medicinal Ingredients: Acetic acid, citric acid, corn starch, ethyl acetate, ethylcellulose, flavour, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, sodium bicarbonate, sucralose, xylitol
Warnings:
- Liver warning: Acetaminophen may cause severe or possibly fatal liver damage if your child takes more than the recommended dose in 24 hours or takes with other drugs containing acetaminophen. Symptoms of liver damage may include: yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, sweating, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, unusual tiredness, and/or loss of appetite.
- Allergy alert: Acetaminophen may cause serious skin reactions. Symptoms may include: skin reddening, blisters, rash. If any of these symptoms occur, stop use and seek medical attention immediately.
- Do not use with any other drug containing acetaminophen or if your child is allergic to acetaminophen or any ingredient in this product.
- Ask doctor or pharmacist before use if your child has liver or kidney disease or takes the blood thinning drug warfarin.
- Stop use and ask doctor if pain lasts for more than 5 days, fever lasts for more than 3 days, or existing pain or fever worsens or if new symptoms appear.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call poison control centre or doctor immediately. Quick medical attention is critical even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
