Description: Card Health Cares Reuseable Cold/Hot Gel Compress is a microwaveable gel compress that soothes aches, pains, bumps, and bruises. It stays flexible, even when frozen, to mold to the body to provide you relief. The dimensions of this compress are 7.5" x 10.25".
Recommended Uses:
- Cold Use: Provides cold therapy, which temporarily relieves minor pain and swelling.
- Hot Use: Provides heat therapy, which temporarily relieves minor muscle and joint pain, stiffness, and muscle spasm.
Directions for Cold Therapy Use:
- Place gel compress in freezer for at least 2 hours before using or keep one compress in the freezer for instant use.
- Wrap in a towel or close and test for desired temperature.
- Apply to affected area.
Directions for Hot Therapy Use:
- Gel compress must be at room temperature before microwave use.
- Lay flat in microwave and for 1 minute. Since microwave ovens vary, more or less time may be required to heat to proper temperature. Increase or decrease heating time in 15 second intervals to reach a comfortable temperature.
- Wrap in towel or cloth and test for desired temperature.
Cautions:
- Compress can reach a high temperature; therefore, user should wrap the compress with a cloth or towel before applying to bare skin.
- Do not wrap too tightly.
- When used on children or incapacitated individuals, adult supervision is required.
- Individuals with circulatory or diabetic problems or temperature sensitivities should consult a physician before use.
- Do not put weight on gel compresses, as they may rupture.
- Discard compresses if leaking.
- If hot or cold therapy becomes uncomfortable, remove compress for a few moments, then re-apply.
