Buckley's Original Mixture for Cough & Congestion (200 mL)

Description: Made in Canada, Buckley's Original Mixture is a sucrose-free syrup taken for effective relief of cough and congestion. Though effective, Buckley's has a distinct taste, so if preferred, mix with equal parts honey.

Indications: Effective relief of coughs and congestion, due to cold, minor bronchial irritations, laryngitis, hoarseness, croupy cough and minor irritations due to smoking, dust or air pollution.

Directions for Adults and Children 12+: Take 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 mL) every 2-3 hours as required. Do not exceed 5 doses daily.

Active Ingredients (every 5 mL):

• Potassium bicarbonate 267 mg
• Ammonium carbonate 153 mg
• Menthol 22 mg
• Camphor2.2 mg
  

Non-medicinal Ingredients:

• Canada balsam
• Carrageenan
• Glycerin
• Pine needle oil
• Propylparaben
• Sodium cyclamate
• Tincture of capsicum
• Water

Caution:

• Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
• Consult a doctor if underlying condition requires continued use for more than 7 days, if cough worsens, persists for more than 1 week, or is accompanied by too much phlegm (mucus), high fever, rash, or persistent headache.
• Individuals with heart, lung, kidney, or liver disease, asthma, the edlerly, pregnant women or nursing mothers, or persons on other medication should take only after consultation with a doctor.
• In the case of accidental overdose, contact a doctor or Poison Control Centre immediately, even if there are no symptoms.
