African Sea Coconut Brand Original Cough Mixture (177 mL)

Description: African Sea-Coconut Brand Original Cough Mixture is a traditional herbal medicine used as an expectorant to help relieve productive coughs. The syrup contains a blend of tolu balsam, ipecacuanha root, squill bulb, and licorice root extracts.

Directions for Adults: take 2 teaspoons (10 mL) orally every 6 hours. Do not take more than 3 times daily. Do not use for more than 7 days.

Medicinal Ingredients (per 5 mL):

• Myroxylon balsamum (tolu balsam sap): 0.208 mL
• Cephaelis ipecacuanha (ipecacuanha root): 0.104 mL
• Drimia maritima (squill bulb): 0.104 mL
• Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice root): 0.104 mL

Non-medicinal Ingredients: Wild cherry bark syrup, menthol, caramel, benzoic acid, sodium benzoate, sugar syrup and ammonium acetate. Refer to the current package for the complete list.

Warnings:

• Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, or if an allergic reaction occurs
• Consult a physician if cough worsens, persists for more than 7 days, recurs, or is accompanied by high fever
• Do not use with quinidine, calcium supplements, saluretics, laxatives or digitalis medications, or if you have hypokalaemia
• Do not exceed the recommended dose; excessive use may irritate the stomach
• Keep out of reach of children
